We offer Backpacking trips in the Bigelows, Mahoosucs, and Schoodic Mountain area.

Day trips available by request in most areas of Maine.

  • Allagash River - Canoe

    This is one of Maine’s most famous wild sections of River. The Allgash trip can include the headwater lakes with a visit to the old tramway. It includes whitewater, swift water, lakes, and dead water. This trip is 4-10 days. This trip includes portaging. Activity Level 4

  • West Branch of the Penobscot River - Canoe

    This is a 3-8 day trip on moving water and lakes. It has sweeping views over large lakes and it is a great option for folks looking for a more relaxed paddling trip. Activity level 3

  • Lower West Branch of the Penobscot and Debsconeag Lakes - Canoe

    This 4-6 day trip follows the Lower West Branch of the Penobscot through swifts and dead waters into large lakes. This trip includes multiple portages, stunning views, and granite boulder-studded shores. Activity level 4

  • Flagstaff Lake - Canoe

    This is a lake paddle between 2-5 days. Flagstaff Lake sits below the Bigelow Range, affording great views up to the mountains from the water. Activity level 2-3

  • Downeast Lakes - Canoe

    This chain of connected lakes in eastern Maine offers 2–8 day trips. We paddle past floating bogs, have lots of swimming opportunities, and settle into cozy campsites at night. Some Down East route options include short portages between lakes. Activity level 2-4

  • Mahoosuc Range - Backpack

    This is a fun and challenging hike! much of the route follows the Appalachian trail. This route has long mountain views and a very strenuous boulder field traverse. This route can also include part of the Grafton Loop Trail. This is a great trip for folks with backpacking experience. It is a 4-7 day trip. Activity level 5

  • Bigelow Range - Backpack

    The Bigelow Range trip has it all. This trip has views of Flagstaff Lake, bald summits, and some challenging terrain. This trip is 2-4 days. Activity level 3-4

  • Schoodic Mountain Area - Backpack

    This shorter backpacking trip is designed for folks who want lots of adventure and lower mileage. This area offers dispersed camping (without an official campsite). It has bald summits, mountain and ocean views, and a tiny mountain pond. This trip is 2-3 days. Activity level 2-3
