Gray Treefrog Guides is a small, queer-owned canoeing and backpacking guide business in Maine, Wabanaki Confederacy Territory. We help foster joy and belonging for our participants, deepen their relationship with the natural world, and create a welcoming learning environment for outdoor skills. We offer a variety of trips, including set itineraries and custom trips. We would love for you to join us.

Becca loves amphibians, canoeing, hiking, and hanging out with Hilary and their pets. They began guiding in 2008 and have worked for many trip-leading organizations since, including The Chewonki Foundation, College of the Atlantic, and The Venture Out Project. In addition to running Gray Treefrog Guides, they also currently lead trips for Kindling Collective and NOLS.

Adrianna Beaudette they/them
Volunteer & Guide

Adrianna loves being on the water and in the water. They swim whenever possible and center their year around canoeing. They love snacks, charismatic mega fauna, and are a great listener. They’ve worked for numerous outdoor organizations and currently lead queer trips for Eastern Sierra Conservation Corps.

Hilary Crowell she/her
Garden Manager

Hilary is a huge Gray Treefrog Guides supporter and small business consultant. She manages the vegetable garden while Becca is away, preserving food for the trail. She loves making fruit leather, growing flowers, and cooking fairytale eggplant.

They are Becca’s favorite frog in the Northeast because:
